Digital Cities Summit
Getting the Highest Bandwidth to the Largest Number of People: New Models for Private-Public Sector Collaboration
Introduction
Unique 'Mindshare'™ Format:
- Large-scale brainstorm
- Expert facilitation
- Collaborative technology
- Telco 2.0™ Business Model Framework
- Short, pre-briefed presentations
- Intensive pre-event research
- Dedicated blog support
Part of the 3rd Telco 2.0™ Executive Brainstorm, this Summit builds on the issues raised at the last event on 28th March in London.
Rationale
The traditional ability of telcos to cross-subsidise access from services revenue is eroding. At the same time, new Internet services suffer from the "Broadband Incentive Problem", which ensures nobody is likely to make fat (or even any) margins from providing high bandwidth access. So how can you broaden the funding base for access networks and generate revenue from new services?
Process
We will follow STL Partners' facilitated 'Mindshare' brainstorming process based on a Telco 2.0™ business model framework and new research into this area. This includes specially briefed stimulus presentations and interactive collaborative technology.
['Mindshare'] is excellent... more intimate than the larger shows, an opportunity to have a real conversation with the audience. Vice President, Major Media Company
