Matteo Gatta
Group Strategy Director, Belgacom
Matteo was recently appointed Group Strategy Director at Belgacom which covers Fixed Line Services, Mobile Communication Services (Proximus), ICT (Telindus) and International Carrier (Belgacom ICS).
Previously Matteo was Marketing Director at Belgacom’s International Carrier Services (BICS), the world’s 8th largest voice and data transit operator. Matteo was a key part of the team that transformed BICS from single product regional player (voice) into leading international carrier, voted the “Best Wholesale Carrier” in 2003 and 2005 at the TotalTelecom World Communications Awards.
Prior to Belgacom, Matteo worked for GTS Ebone (later KPNQwest) as Director of Product Development and at Infostrada and Telecom Italia Mobile. He has been a contributor to several industry fora, most recently the GSMA Interworking Group (IWG) and IP Interworking Initiative (IPI).
